i have a zune too and i always have problems with it. but here’s the question. is the total amount of stuff you are trying to put on more than what you have room for? because if it is, that could be causing the problem. If you still have problems call zune product support. their number is on their website.

Check your reserved space. If that is set to a resonable level then reformat the device. That will return it to the condition it was in when you first bought it minus the sample files.
